Born and based in Berlin, Lars Huisman started his musical journey in 2011. Over the past five years, Lars’ musical evolution has undergone a significant transformation, heavily influenced by the early 2000s tribal techno era.
Lars’ distinctive style blends swift tribal rhythms, sharp synth patterns, and a clear essence of Detroit techno, establishing a sonic landscape that’s both unique and instantly recognizable. Rooted in his background as a jazz drummer, his productions also incorporate rich chords, adding layers of sophistication to his music.
In 2022, Lars achieved a pivotal milestone with the release of his Trilogy, “Sounds From The Past,” on Mutual Rytm. This Trilogy comprises three EPs, each embarking on a sonic odyssey through the diverse facets of early techno.
Lars navigates various sub genres, including Dub techno and Latin-influenced tribal music, showcasing his exceptional versatility.
When viewed from the perspectives of both a producer and a DJ, Lars’ style also delves into the darker realms of early 2000s tribal techno. He offers a raw and intense experience for enthusiasts of techno’s underground origins.
With a penchant for genre-blending and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic music, Lars consistently remains at the forefront of innovation while preserving the timeless essence of music that will resonate long into the future.
